It’s gloomy in Virginia so I’m dreaming about a sunny spring! More so than the sun, I look forward to the outfits. The best part of warm weather is the unlimited outfit possibilities! We’re talking outfits not obstructed by lame jackets, people!!
Let’s be clear – dresses are mostly on my mind.
I have a somewhat bad habit of only buying formal dresses. I’m trying to kick it, but it’s hard. I just gravitate toward dressy dresses I can’t help it! I’m hoping to change my ways this season by investing in some more casual, but still gorgeous dresses.
Hence why I compiled this list. I was looking for dresses that can be worn for multiple occasions for many years. The dresses had to be fun, vibrant and somewhat casual. (I say casual loosely since I don’t really consider any well-assembled outfit casual. All style is occasion wear!)
I want them all this spring: midi dresses, mini dresses, blazer dresses, everything! The only common denominator I’m looking for is color. Great weather calls for vibrant colors and I’m on the hunt!
I found the following options for the newest additions to my spring wardrobe. Which of the below dresses is your favorite?
Staud Wells Dress in Peony
Staud is one of my favorite designers. Their clothes are elegant, feminine and well-tailored. All characteristics that embody this beautiful pink dress! I love everything about it: its length, its neckline, its style, its color. Everything!
You could wear this to a birthday party, a brunch, even as a wedding guest dress! Its classic silhouette makes it the perfect match for every occasion.
Retrofête Blake Blazer
Honey, we are talking about spring after all! This beautifully printed blazer dress is giving me every kind of warm weather vibe. The vivid green foliage reminds me of spring blossoms and I’m obsessed with the animal print. Not only do we get zebra print, but whole cheetahs too?? Blessed.
I’m a chronic over-dresser so I’d wear this blazer dress anywhere: date night, a dinner party, everywhere. It’s chic, bright and wild, honey!
La Come Di Onda Bubble Dress
This unique dress would be a joyful addition to your wardrobe! I’ve never seen a dress like it before. Which is why I love Wolf and Badger; they feature independent designers like La Come Di and the other great brains that release innovative fashions.
This dress is all about what’s new! The funky patterning, vivid colors, and expert details make for a trendy and playful piece. I especially love the drawstring sleeves and collared neckline. Like the rest of the dress, those two elements paired together shouldn’t work but they do!
Ndigo Studio SS Desta Dress
Ndigo Studio is all about bright. They make gorgeous, vivid dresses and other women’s ready-to-wear. This dress is no exception! Its beautiful orange satin begs to be felt and the high-low silhouette adds an element of flirtation highlighted by ruffles.
This is a dress I’d love to dance in. The movement on it standing still is already so compelling, I imagine in motion it will be entrancing. Simply gorgeous!
HVN Tiered Mini Dress in Green Dancer
If we’re talking spring, we’re talking green. And we’re talking this dress! This rich green evokes images of freshly cut grass and precious emeralds. It’s a color that reminds you of good fortune you wish to carry forward into every season and every new beginning.
This stunning main color paired with the rest of the palette and tiered tulle is simply divine. It’s the perfect, dreamy dress for spring!
Final Word
The most anticipated element about warmer weather (Other than more sun time!) is the outfits. For me, I look most forward to the dresses and skirts I can sport for spring 2022. These dresses from Ndigo Studio, HVN and Retrofête reinvigorate my excitement for warmer weather. I hope they did the same for you!
