Who Founded Alexis?
Alexis is a brand by Ana and Alexis Barbara, a mother/daughter duo who define their brand for the woman who “embraces all aspects of femininity, sophistication, and elegant ease”.
Their pieces are often flowy and beautifully patterned with classic silhouettes. Alexis, I doubt I’ve ever seen an ALEXIS piece I wouldn’t wear.
I once stumbled upon a beautiful Alexis off-the-shoulder red cutout dress at a luxury consignment shop in Minneapolis. It was ~$200 which at the time I thought was excessive so I returned it to the rack.
Considering I’m still thinking about that dress and I envied seeing Dr. Jackie wear it on Bravo’s Married to Medicine, I regret walking away from that deal.
With Alexis’ Spring 2022 Collection, I have the chance to get into more of these beautiful looks early. There isn’t one dress, top, pant or set I wouldn’t buy instantly.
Frankly, these pieces are so stunning they make me forget about that old red dress completely… Let’s get into some of my favorite looks from the collection.
The Looks
Anika Fringed Linen-Cotton Mini Dress
This dress’s construction is superior. The fringe’s patterning on top of the dress just works and that little cut out strip near the hem is perfection. Also loving that red brushstroke print – it’s somehow both delicate and bold. This is the perfect summertime party dress!
Cima Pompom-Trimmed Poplin Shirt
All white is risky but worth it – Especially for this look. The pom-pom on the shirt is placed to perfection and paired with this long skirt? Obsessed. I’m loving the dramatic fitted sleeve moment as well. Now let’s talk about the skirt: Give me that chic crochet, pom pom and mermaid style now!! Unfortunately that’s not possible since the skirt is sold out, but that gorgeous shirt still is!
Alora Embroidered Midi Dress
This color palette, this embroidery, this length, this shape! This dress is giving tropical summer fantasy. I’m not going anywhere tropical but if I get this dress I promise I will.
Tessie Printed Gauze Mini Dress
Alexis is delivering on patterns this season. I’m especially loving this paisley, floral, multicolored print. It’s elevated with a deep V-neck and contrasting with long sunburst-patterned straps. Hello beach goddess dress – I want you and I need you.
Olessia Printed Gauze Maxi Dress
I’m glad this beautiful print was repurposed as a maxi dress – especially as an easily elegant maxi dress. This version looks like seated dinner / beach wedding sister to the mini dress’s party style. It’s chic, beautifully detailed and sexy. Get into this maxi moment!
Honorable Mention: Resort-Wear 2022 Coastal Cutout Midi Dress
This dress is technically part of the Resort-Wear collection, but I’m so into it that it had to be mentioned. The caption says it all.
Final Word
Alexis always delivers on breezy, sexy women’s fashion. Their Spring 2022 collection is clearly no exception. All these pieces are perfect for your next vacation, beach wedding or rooftop party. I look forward to seeing more!
