A few months back, I was on the hunt for new shoes. All my favorite pairs were worn to the bone and frankly, I wanted something fresh. The problem was I didn’t like anything in my price range.
Of course, I drooled over some Louis Vuitton hiker boots, but damn I don’t have 2 grand to spend on a pair of shoes! Then when I looked at sale sections of places like Nordstrom I was unmoved.
Then I found Ego Shoes. I’m pretty sure I “stumbled upon them” from Googling “trendy womens shoes” – G*ddamn that Google search delivered!
What is Ego Shoes?
Ego is a UK-based brand that sells trendy and cheap shoes, apparel, accessories and more! They have nearly every category in women’s fashion at accessible prices.
As I scrolled Ego’s website of what I initially thought was just shoes (they sell women’s apparel too), I wanted everything. And I could afford everything! I ended that perusal with 7 pairs of shoes, 4 for me and 3 for my sister.
Now I checked out Ego again for some shoe envy – as usual they didn’t disappoint. Check out my favorite picks below!

I’m not a lawyer, but I may consider it if it means I get to were “court heels”. Just kidding, if I were a lawyer I wouldn’t wear heels this high but I can dream!
These shoes are just beautiful: their opacity is unique, the color is divine and the heel is so sexy. I spy the perfect night out shoe!
Cushy Knotted Detail Lace Up Square Peep Toe Sculptured Block Heel in Fuchsia Pink Satin
I love a block heel. The problem is most block heel shoes are uh hideous. Luckily we have Ego to save us all and offer this structured block heel instead!
The cushy detail alone is covetable then you throw in that vibrant pink and the straps? These are my ideal shoes for sure.
Don’t-Trust Chunky Sole Ankle Chelsea Sock Biker Boot in Mint Green Knit
It’s cold weather time so of course I was on the lookout for some more covered pairs of shoes as well. Once could argue a sock biker boot wouldn’t protect you from the cold elements and to that I say, “Who asked you?”
We run on perfect style here not perfect sense! Whether or not these shoes are totally warm, they’re so cool. We need some icy boots for these icy streets!
Avalon Square Peep Toe Sculptured Block Heel Mule in Orange Patent
These mules were one of the pairs included in my last Ego Shoes haul. I wore them the entire summer, even to my surprise birthday party (below)!
The heel height is 5” which is a titch too tall for all day every day wear, but they still weren’t uncomfortable for 1 day of 8 hour use. The orange is the perfect statement color and the square, peep-toe is so trendy right now. For this price I may just buy another pair..
Edie Pointed Toe Thin Block Heel Knee High Long Boot in Dark Brown Faux Leather
You thought I’d have a whole list of shoes without including some tall boots? I live in Minneapolis. Think again. While these beautiful boots look treacherous for most Minneapolis walking, they look perfect for a stroll from your car to the front door of a house party.
I love the slightly wider calf and shaft here – I’ve seen it a lot this season. There’s something more casual about a wider look, which is gift for someone like me who’s always accused of overdressing for casual occasions.
I definitely plan on adding these casualish boots to my closet soon!
Final Word
Great shoes don’t have to be expensive. Yes, more expensive shoes are usually made of better materials so they last longer. However, every once and a while you need shoes that scratch a shoe itch and Ego has you covered, stylishly.
