What is Wolf and Badger?
Wolf and Badger is an online marketplace for independent designers. It offers a space for new, emerging or niche designers to offer their pieces at equitable prices.
With Wolf and Badger, you’re getting in on contemporary fashion trends before they hit the mainstream. You’re supporting the trendsetters in innovative fashion. And you’re browsing one of the largest selections of independent designers on the internet.
Wolf and Badger is innovative from the designers they feature to the way you search their selections; namely, their ”Sustainability Status” filter. With this option, you can find clothes that meet your standards in more than just style.
Like every other clothing site, Wolf and Badger offers many filters when you search for a garment. Unlike most other clothing sites, they go a little further than color, brand, and season.
They also offer a ”Sustainability Status” filter that narrows the search results to designers that abide by specific sustainable causes. Options include Happy Worker, Low-Impact, Non-Toxic Dyes, Happy World, and more!
The option not only to sift through hundreds of independent clothing designers, but also further narrow that range by their sustainable practices is unparalleled. What’s even more incredible is how many results there still are no matter the filter you choose! It’s heartening to see many independent designers prioritize their global and interpersonal impact.
I recently took advantage of the Sustainability Status filter on my search for women’s skirts. I chose ”Happy Worker” which resulted in 20+ pages of results! Of the skirts that populated from my search, I saw 5 that I would love for spring; those choices are below.
Knowing the fashion houses behind these choices are committed to keeping their workers happy only makes my next spring purchase easier!
Which of these skirts do you want for warmer weather?
Amy Lynn Cruz Faux Leather Corset Skirt
I love a classic A-line skirt, but this one is a great upgrade! It still has the shape of an A-line only with corset style laces that give it a little extra va-va-voom!
Plus its understated green acts as a great neutral to pair with nearly any color. Talk about the perfect skirt for spring!
kith & kin White Colored Strap Mini Skirt
My love for laces is showing.. I love the chic athleisure / street style energy of this skirt. It looks like something you could wear to play tennis or as the statement piece for a party ensemble.
The bright white gives me chic while the pink laces give me wild thing! A great addition to your closet for many warm weather occasions.
Aggi Liz High Risk Red Skirt
Speaking of statement – This skirt is everything. That bright red is bomb plus I love a midi! I’m 5’3” so I always shied away from midi skirts assuming they would make me look even shorter.
The truth is they do the opposite! When I pair a midi skirt with some heels it actually give the illusion of more height. Plus it makes my whole shape look more hourglass.
This faux leather beauty would do the same thanks to its silhouette! It’s also such a rich color that it’s hard to resist. This hot like fire skirt makes for some great party attire or even inspiring work wear!
Conquista Mustard Embroidered Floral Wrap Ruffle Skirt
Another midi we love – this skirt evokes the delicacy of spring. This yellow reminds me of spring sunshine plus of course, the printed flowers. The ruffled overlay also makes it super flattering! It’s rare to find skirts like these that can be worn for casual or more dressy wear.
I’d personally love to pair this with a neutral bodysuit but it’s so versatile you could pair it with anything! This spring is all about durability and this skirt makes the cut.
Rebecca J Mills Designs Satin Snake Skin Print Bias Cut Skirt in Green
The final midi to top the list – And you know, I couldn’t resist some snake print. What’s most interesting about this piece is the snake print is much more geometric than I’m used to. They took the best elements of snake print and added a little more structure to produce a really cool pattern.
The graphics paired with this romantic blue/green is amazing! It’s not the bright green you’d expect for spring, but something unexpected and elegant. A truly unique skirt for the upcoming season!
