How is Parade Sustainable?
Parade practices sustainability in every way possible. They offer a recycle program for their intimates. Available for Parade underwear and any other brand.
Their products are made of 80% – 95% recycled materials with the goal being 100% by 2023. Although the amount of making is also intentional.
Parade makes limited quantities of all their products. Unlike wasteful brands that make a surplus until it all sells.
Parade minimizes that waste by having smaller, more frequent drops. And the products that return to the site are directed by customer feedback.
All Parade factories are WRAP or SA8000 certified. WRAP is an independent certification agency specifically for garments and footwear.
Their certification process extends beyond just an audit. WRAP investigates and monitors the factory through a third party agency before it’s certified.
SA8000 is a standard set by SAI – Social Accountability International. SAI is an NGO dedicated to “[advancing] human rights at workplaces”.
Being SA8000 certified means your factory upholds a high standard for workers’ rights. SAI conducts audits for the factory in the form of announced and unannounced visits over 3 years.
They pay attention to all aspects of employees’ working conditions: living wages, well-being, voice and engagement, and management systems.
