This isn’t your average list of accessories; it’s not about the latest necklace, bracelet or belt.
Instead, I’m more interested in the hidden accessories – the ones that save more outfits than a pair of cute earrings ever could.
Every item on this list has saved me from pain, an inappropriate fashion moment or both. Not only that, most of them can be found at Target or Walmart!
It’s a wonder to see average household items come in handy for truly everything; even a memorable outfit!
Upon which of the below do you depend on most?
Nipple covers
I’m not always comfortable with my nipples showing. While I love them, the look simply isn’t appropriate for every setting – This is where these adhesives come in!
What I love about nipple covers is they can be used for every outfit: backless dresses, crop tops for lighter coverage, and anything bodycon.
Best of all, they match your skin tone! They’re a great, small investment for perpetual outfit perfection.
Fashion tape
Tape (in its regular form) is endlessly useful – Fashion tape is no different. I would argue fashion tape is better since it’s inherently double-sided.
This brand in particular makes a great strong adhesive tape on both sides to hold together nearly every fabric to all skin.
In fact, this tape is so strong, I often have trouble transferring it from my fingertips to the necessary surface!
That kind of strength and dependability is exactly what we need to execute some beautiful, complex outfits.
Safety pins
Don’t count the safety pin out! These little pins scattered in your mama’s drawers and affixed to bougie clothing companies’ labels come in handy a lot.
Listen their job is to tighten and bring things together – Of course they’re perfect for fashion!
I use safety pins mostly to make a revealing neckline a little less risqué, but their uses are endless! You can quickly hide a small hole in your blouse, tighten a large pair of jeans even alter the silhouette of a top!
These little pins do some pretty big work.
Bandages
Bandages lessen pain and discomfort in all areas; paper cuts and itchy fabric alike. Needless to say, they’re extremely useful!
Especially with nearly invisible skin-toned bandages, you can wear them with no detection while relieving outfit pains. I’m partial to wearing bandages on my feet, specifically the backs of my ankles and below my toes, most.
(Beautiful shoes are unfortunately not always comfortable.) But, I always keep them on me for a quick fix to many other fashion problems.
