Fall in Minneapolis is odd since it lasts for a couple weeks before an abrupt and intense winter. Even though the season is ephemeral, it’s important to dress for it!

Fingerless Gloves
I’ve long coveted some fingerless gloves, but there’s a part of me that believes they’re kind of useless – therefore not worth purchasing. I mean what’s the point of a glove that doesn’t cover your fingers?
Here’s the point: FASHION. While these gloves may not provide full warmth, they give full fashion! And that’s enough reason to add this everyday piece to your closet.
Orange Beanie
A bright orange makes the perfect accent color to nearly any outfit. I love that construction-sign or neon orange best. I was only aware recently that this color is also worn a lot by hunters.
I’m still not sure why; I thought the point of a hunter’s attire was camouflage not drawing excessive bright orange attention.
Well I’m not a hunter. I’m just a simple woman who likes nice things and orange beanies are my latest obsession.
A Giant Scarf
Lenny Kravitz started a movement in 2012 when he wore possibly the world’s largest scarf to run some errands. Ever since then, the bigger the scarf the better!
My sister gave me her very large Free People scarf and I for sure only love it as much as I do because it’s so f*cking big.
You get the warmth of a blanket, its style is totally customizable and it somehow always looks chic. Perfect fall accessory for real!
A Giant Hoodie
I own one hoodie. It was a hand-me-down from my older brother to my older sister and finally to me. It’s a black hoodie with the logo of my high school that I never want to claim embroidered on the front.
Despite its messaging, I love that doggone hoodie. It’s too big and so comfortable.
Now I mostly wear hoodies I steal from my partner. If I didn’t have that privilege, I’d invest in something similarly large and warm for fall.
