Next in Fashion is Back!
Multiple amazing news! Firstly: the best fashion competition reality series is officially back for season 2! That’s right, Netflix’s Next in Fashion is preparing for another run. Although the release date hasn’t been announced, the show is actively pursuing designers for the upcoming season.
The next great although bittersweet news is there will be a new cohost onboard.
Don’t worry, our beloved Tan France will still be one cohost. However, Alexa Chung will not be returning as his companion for season two. So who’s her replacement?
We’ll give you a hint: she’s the most recent supermodel to blow up in popularity over the last few years. She’s walked in every major runway, had every major magazine cover (multiple times) and has released multiple eponymous clothing collaborations. I think you already know who it is, but I’ll tell you anyway…
Gigi Hadid!
Hadid recently signed on to cohost the inspiring show’s second season! This is fantastic news for Next in Fashion fans since the first season featured exemplary designers and guest judges (e.g. Prabal Gurung, Tommy Hilfiger, Kerby Jean-Raymond, Jason Bolden, TO NAME A FEW).
Now with Hadid’s involvement, even more of the latest and greatest voices in the fashion industry are sure to be included!
I hope this news is the only change coming to Next in Fashion since their format was ideal: 18 exceptional designers competing for a $250,000 grand prize and a collection for Net-a-porter.
The news makes me truly anxious for season 2 of my favorite fashion competition series!
