Instagram is probably the most popular entertainment-centric social media platform. It’s close between Instagram and Pinterest in my opinion. But, I definitely spend more time on the former than the latter. Because of how often I scroll IG, the people I follow are of the utmost priority!
Of course, I follow all my friends and family members (only the ones I like :)). Then there are the accounts I follow that reflect my interests; primarily in fashion.
It took me a long time to find the right Instagram accounts that speak to my dream style, but I found them with these 5!
Most of these accounts I stumbled upon within Instagram like @romeosfashionfix and @karyastreetstyle. Some of them I discovered after already following the creatives’ work outside the app – like @lisafolawiyo and @luxurylaw. All of these accounts share a keen eye for fashion!
The majority of the accounts I follow are run by Black women: @signedblake, @lisafolawiyo, @romeosfashionfix, and @lefthandglam (not featured on this list, but an honorable mention) are all Instagram accounts run by and featuring Black women. They are all style innovators who make the every day exciting! I so appreciate being able to follow their daily looks.
With that being said, let’s celebrate the creatives responsible for the 5 Instagram accounts below. Each person photographed is stylish, bold, and the stuff of fashion dreams.

I found Lisa Folawiyo’s Instagram by first discovering her incredible fashion collections. During my research of Folawiyo, I stumbled upon her Instagram and I was taken.
She has a trained eye for color and pairing patterns that is unmatched. Every one of her ensembles is funky, colorful and memorable! (Much like her glamorous eponymous clothing line.)
I turn to @lisafolawiyo when I’m need of inspiration for party apparel and mixing prints. She does both with such flair; I can only hope to ever put together one look that compares.

Instagram is listening closely to me. Their algorithm is responsible for me finding @romeosfashionfix. Only on this occasion will I ever thank the data bots for spying on me!
@romeosfashionfix aka Juliette Fox is in every sense, a fashion inspiration. She creates the monochrome ensembles of our fantasies and the statement looks of our dreams. She has a knack for cool sophistication and BOMB accessories that keeps me following! I love all things metallic and her Instagram features the best in metallic shoes, accessories and apparel.
I turn to @romeosfashionfix when I’m looking for how to make a statement piece more wearable. Fox can wear an oversized gold coat with jeans and make it accessible. I’m trying to be on that level!

Another fashion inspiration account I can thank Instagram for! @karyastreetstyle has high quality photos of every day fashion inspiration from the best place possible: the streets!
I don’t know much about Karya behind @karyastreetstyle since the account almost exclusively features other people. Karya makes an appearance every once in a while with helpful photographing tips and such, but mostly this account is about every day people’s fashions.
I love this account for showcasing the styles of people braver than me! It’s a good reminder that fashion is at the intersection between self-expression and art. You get to see fashion risks and trends in the same place as hundreds of other outfit inspirations. It’s a fantastic account for diverse fashion minds!

@signedblake is another Instagram account I found on explore. I was immediately drawn by her muted tones and magazine-worthy shots!
Blake has an eye obviously for fashion and photography! Her entire grid is composed, understated and elegant. I also love Chicago so to see her use the city as a partner in nearly every photograph is inspiring. It’s the perfect backdrop for her chic, elegant and stylish ensembles!
I look to @signedblake when I need inspiration for chic, professional attire. What’s great about all her looks is they make dressing professionally actually look fun!

Who doesn’t know Law Roach? He’s a judge on HBO Max’s Legendary, he’s styled nearly everybody in Hollywood and he’s responsible for Zendaya’s most iconic looks. Needless to say, his Instagram is drool-worthy.
While the price of featured ensembles is out of most of our budgets, they serve as great inspiration. Law Roach uses his celebrity friends as models for the newest and greatest fashion trends. It’s an honor to see a professional ”image architect” as he describes himself, put them all together.
This is the Instagram to follow for every time you need outfit inspiration for special occasions: Birthday parties, weddings, everything! Take notes from fashion icons directly and apply them to more accessible fashions.
