I once had a pair of over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman black leather boots that I LOVED. They were a gorgeous buttery black leather that just molded to my legs. Wearing them made me feel confident and composed; they were perfect!
I had them for about 3 years. I wore them as often as possible even repeating outfits just to highlight the boots. I was in a blissful booted mindset until a fateful Halloween party in 2019.
The Boots That Were…
I was dressed as Cardi B in Motorsport. I even bought a neon green motorcycle jacket that I had custom tailored to match her look! That paired with a black mini dress and my Stuart Weitzman boots; I had her look down.
(I actually contacted the designer who made Cardi’s original bodysuit in that video, but that’s another story. I’ll never forget when you snubbed me, Bryan Hearn!!) Back to that fateful 2019 Halloween Party; the party ended around 3 a.m.
After we finished cleaning, I was exhausted so it didn’t even register as I climbed into my car that I was barefoot! I didn’t even realize I didn’t have my Stuart Weitzman boots on until I was halfway home – I was that tired.
I still don’t know what happened to those boots. Whoever stole them or found them was extremely lucky. They just scored $700 boots. And my most prized pair of shoes.
It wasn’t even their price that made them valuable, it was their versatility. I used to wear those boots for every special occasion. They were just beautiful and elegant and spectacular. It’s been over 2 years and I still think about those boots fondly… It’s time I find a new pair to fill this void!
Although no pair will ever totally eclipse my beloved Stuart Weitzmans, these boots are not a bad start. Below are my top options!
Steve Madden Tanzee Boot
I love these flipping boots! They’re so sexy it’s ridiculous. The vegan leather looks almost like latex and that sculptural block heel is everything.
These actually look pretty similar to my old Stuart Weitzman boots. They’re both thigh-high, sexy and versatile.
Stuart Weitzman Highland Over-the-Knee Boot
If I’m looking for a Stuart Weitzman replacement boot, it makes sense to look back to Stuart Weitzman, right? These gorgeous over-the-knee boots would be a great new choice!
They have a significantly higher heel than my last pair. But, that’s not a problem! I’m loving these sumptuous boots. The tie in the back at the top is a playful touch to an otherwise dominatrix-esque boot.
I love these. Of any of the list, I trust Stuart Weitzman to make quality, gorgeous boots that last. Maybe I’ll just stick to what’s tried and true for my replacement boots!
Coperni Stretch Over-the-Knee Boot ($650)
Or, I could switch it up! These Copernis are so odd they’re entrancing. When I first stumbled upon them I was off-put to be honest. The baggy shaft was strange to me and the sole’s shape seemed strange.
Only later, once I kept thinking about these boots did I realize I actually really liked them! They were unlike any other thigh-high boots I’d ever seen. In a great way!
The slouchy frame adds a casual factor to what’s usually considered a formal boot. And the half-moon type sole is classic modern Coperni. They’re cool, unique and beautiful!
Franco Sarto Pisa Over-the-Knee Boot
These boots are a great every day shoe. Most of the others on this list have a va-va-voom factor that makes them a little less versatile. That’s where these Franco Sartos come in!
While they don’t have an eye-catching heel or length, they have obvious quality that’s attractive. Franco Sarto is a great shoe brand! Their reputation of quality paired with these elegant boots makes them a great investment.
Also, I’m so into the square toe it’s beyond.
Simon Miller Mojo Over-the-Knee Vegan Leather Boot
The other most distinct pair of boots on my list is these Simon Millers. They’re kind of a feather pattern that is just remarkable. Plus the heel is a manageable length for casual wear.
These boots would make a great statement for any outfit: casual, more dressy, or otherwise!
