Have you ever fantasized about owning a pair of earrings? I have. In fact, the first pair (Yes, first. There are a lot of beautiful earrings in the world!) I coveted was from We Dream in Colour.
I stumbled upon them thanks to an Instagram account I follow that highlights Black designers. One afternoon, an image of theirs stopped my scroll. It was of a beautiful woman sporting a pair of delicate gold chandelier earrings.
I was entranced by the small leaves and birds carved out of metal but light enough to not weigh down her earlobe. I needed these earrings.
My History with Jewelry
Now, I used to be a jewelry fanatic. In high school, I was the girl who wore 20 bangles on each arm to class often with matching earrings. I didn’t leave the house unless I had something sparkling or dangling from my earlobes and/or wrists.
I don’t accessorize nearly as often anymore, unfortunately. But my jewelry obsession in the past has given me an eye for the high-quality stuff. Stuff like what’s made by We Dream in Colour.
What is We Dream in Colour?
We Dream in Colour is a Black-founded, independently-funded brand from the mind of Jade Gedeon with help from her sister Mika. The duo makes accessories that make you feel special.
Each beautiful creation celebrates elements of nature in an unforgettable delicacy. Nature and its preservation is important to the Gedeons; when possible recyclable materials are used for their earrings.
A similar care is shown for their manufacturing partners as each of their suppliers is vetted for ethical practices.
We Dream in Colour’s heart shows in every one of their handcrafted pieces. Each earring is vibrant and unique while intricately made. It’s clear the brand’s founders take their craft seriously.
I finally received a pair of their earrings when my partner gifted them to me. The chandelier pair he got me was purple copper shaped to resemble starbursts with specks of gold.
Each earring is hinged by hand with each delicate piece in perfect balance so as not to strain your earlobe. Their attention to detail is apparent everywhere; each earring’s back even features a small plate engraved with the brand’s logo.

I love everything about these earrings, most of all their color. That lime nearly neon green is just beautiful and perfect for spring! The shape is also stunning. I love bold earrings like these that cover the earlobe so as to give the illusion of unity with the ear. Just gorgeous!
Gilded Sunset Earrings

”Gilded sunset” is the most fitting name to give these gorgeous ombré earrings. The color scheme evokes an image of the most beautiful horizon while the shapes reinstate that dreaminess. A truly romantic pair!
Jardiniere Earrings
Speaking of romantic; these earrings are just that! They’re dainty, dramatic and golden. Plus the symmetrical design using tiny flowers and a centered bird is inspired. What’s not to love?
Grand Indah Earrings
Once again We Dream in Colour names their earrings exactly as they deserve. These earrings are grand. Plus a quick Google search told me ”indah” means beautiful in Indonesian which I also hope was their intent. Rightfully so!
Their use of triangles in perfect symmetry here reminds me of beautiful Islamic geometric art. And the hand-etched lines in the palms give an earthiness to the otherwise solid-gold look which I love. These are some strong, grand and beautiful earrings!
Golden Hour Earrings

I would say I’m saving the best for last with these earrings, but I’d be kind of lying. Every one of the earrings on this list are stunning. It just so happens that these are of the same caliber. Named after the infamous prime time for an Instagram photo, these earrings are similarly worth the hype.
The drip design and perfectly arranged sun and moon elements are remarkable. The fact that they’re all dipped in gold makes for a perfect statement pair of earrings.
