David Koma is a UK-based designer who makes the most glamorous gowns. His designs are everywhere: red carpets, celebrity stylists’ Instagram accounts, and all over the luxury fashion blogs.
He’s the designer you need to keep on your radar. I don’t even remember how I stumbled upon his designs; but now that I have, I see them everywhere!

One of my favorite fashion inspirations, Zendaya, has had a few gorgeous Koma looks. My favorite was during a press tour for Dune where she wore a beautiful gown from his 2022 Resort Collection.
Koma makes dresses for events, honey. You can’t wear these beautiful pieces to just any small gathering. These are your birthday dresses, your anniversary dresses, your flex-on-my-ex dresses! Koma makes the kind of dresses I fantasize about wearing.
He has a knack for creating sexy dresses with details that should read as gaudy, but are executed so cleanly they’re stunning. For example, his most recent Resort 2022 collection features gorgeous iridescent 3D crystal flower detailing as an homage to new beginnings with a side of disco.
Other collections’ bold sequins and crystal embellishments are similarly executed. They’re somehow both simple and daring, classic and memorable.
