Graphic tee shirts are a must! What’s fantastic about them is they’re endlessly versatile. You can go for a casual look by pairing a graphic tee with some oversized jeans or wear it with a strong-shouldered blazer for something more chic.
I definitely don’t own enough comfortable tees. I’m notoriously bad at buying basics in general. And when I do have the itch to buy a new top, it’s rarely anything other than a statement blouse.
That thinking in itself is flawed; graphic tees are often statements!
I’m on the hunt to expand my tee shirt options and the below brands deliver the very best!
Cross Colours
Founded by celebrated designers Carl Jones and Thomas ”TJ” Walker, Cross Colours is a pioneer in streetwear.
Described as “fashion forward and community-oriented” by LA Weekly, CC makes clothes that celebrate Black culture; from catchphrases to artist collaborations (i.e. Tupac and Aaliyah). Their messaging is all about Black pride and justice!
They communicate their ideals through trendy prints and colors: Tie dye and bright primary colors everywhere! Each of their pieces is eye-catching, thoughtful and memorable.
Bodega
What’s great about Bodega is they’re more like a marketplace for graphic tees. The site is all about streetwear so of course, graphic tee shirts are aplenty.
Bodega offers tees for every price point, but my favorite brands are on the higher end; namely Pleasures and Billionaire Boys Club.
Suburban Riot
Suburban Riot makes comfortable, easy tees. Their shirts are unbelievably soft and their designs are cutely simple. They make the perfect tops for uncomplicated looks.
I’ve had a Suburban Riot t shirt for about 4 years now and I still love it. It’s still soft and still adorable!
Chaser Brand
Chaser makes tees that feel like the apparel version of butter. They’re so comfortable it’s wild! Like Suburban Riot, Chaser does a good job of offering simple, well-designed shirts. They’re comfortable, colorful and cool!
