Chilly Weather Has its Perks
It seems like the weather shifts to chilly right when summer ends. It’s as if once Virgo season retreats, it takes all warmth with it. Perhaps out of spite, we’re left with chilly breezes and cooler days.
The colder weather isn’t a loss to me. I’m a Minneapolis native so cold weather is familiar and actually enjoyable. I like thick sweaters, long coats, and most importantly: stylin’ boots.
See, people have a misconception when it comes to cold weather dressing. They think the departure of 80+ degree weather means they will no longer have as much freedom with their wardrobes. But, I disagree.
While spring and summer afford you the opportunity to wear less pieces more comfortably, fall and winter do the inverse. Replace the beauty of less with the beauty of layering!
Yes, you won’t be able to wear tiny tops and short skirts for a few months. But, imagine the possibilities of that top plus a sweater plus a chic scarf instead! The combinations are endless and best of all, you’ll be comfy, cozy in them all.
I for one treasure these months where my feet can relax in thick socks and platform boots. In fact, I made a pact with myself that this year I would add to my small boot collection. After all, it’s the start of spooky season 2022 and we all deserve a treat!
